The Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has approved the appointment of Dr. Dagogo S. A. Wokoma as the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG) and Barrister Sunny Ewule as Chief of Staff (CoS).

The appointments take immediate effect.
According to a statement issued on Thursday, February 26, 2026, both appointees will be sworn in later today at 2:00 p.m. The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled to hold at the Executive Council (Exco) Chamber, Government House, Port Harcourt.
The announcement was signed by Mr. Onwuka Nzeshi, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Rivers State.
