Former Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano (Akpokuedike), has dismissed widespread rumours alleging he is in poor health or deceased.

In a statement issued on Friday, Obiano assured Ndi Anambra, friends, and supporters that he is “alive, hale, hearty, and in excellent health.”
He described the rumour as the handiwork of mischief-makers who take pleasure in spreading falsehood, urging the public to disregard it completely.
Obiano expressed gratitude to all who reached out through calls, messages, and prayers, noting that their concern and goodwill “mean more than words can express.”
He reiterated that he remains focused, grateful, and guided by God’s grace.
