Okeke made the declaration following consultations with APC stakeholders, executives, and members of the Mezie Abia Mandate in Arochukwu and Ohafia Local Government Areas, who, according to him, encouraged him to offer himself for service.
In his declaration, Okeke expressed gratitude for the confidence reposed in him, noting that the decision was informed by his previous engagements and contributions to philanthropic and developmental initiatives across Abia State. He also appreciated the support he received during the last general election, pledging not to take it for granted.
The APC aspirant said his aspiration is driven by the need for bold, people-oriented representation at the National Assembly, stressing that Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency requires strategic leadership to address key challenges confronting the area.
He listed his priorities to include inclusive development, youth empowerment, improved access to quality education and healthcare, creation of economic opportunities, and stronger advocacy for increased federal presence in the constituency.
Okeke described himself as prepared to serve, citing experience, integrity, and compassion as the pillars of his aspiration. He assured constituents that, if elected, he would serve as a strong voice for the people and a bridge between the grassroots and the federal government.
“I accept this call to serve with a clear vision: to represent with courage, legislate with wisdom, and lead with empathy,” he stated, while calling for prayers, support, and partnership from the people of the constituency.
The declaration was posted on his official Facebook handle.
He concluded by praying for blessings upon Arochukwu and Ohafia Federal Constituency, Abia State, and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
