Hon. Boma Iyaye, Executive Director of Finance and Administration at the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), has dismissed reports claiming he has declared interest in the Rivers State governorship race and received endorsement from the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike.

In a press statement released on Saturday, Iyaye described the circulating social media reports as “inaccurate” and not reflective of his current position.
He clarified that his primary focus remains on his responsibilities at the Niger Delta Development Commission, where he continues to work with leadership and stakeholders to promote sustainable development across the Niger Delta region.
“I have not made any formal declaration regarding a governorship ambition, nor have I received any endorsement from the Honourable Minister or any other individual as being suggested,” Iyaye stated.
The NDDC official, however, expressed respect for Wike, acknowledging his leadership and contributions to public service.
Iyaye urged the public and media practitioners to rely on verified information and disregard unconfirmed reports.
