In a press statement issued on Monday in Abuja, the party said its attention had been drawn to growing media speculation on the matter, which recently escalated with the mention of specific individuals allegedly being considered as replacements.

The APC stated categorically that the reports were “purely speculative, untrue and utterly baseless,” urging media organisations to desist from giving prominence to rumours and unverified sources aimed at creating confusion and discord in the polity.

The party emphasized that, in line with existing laws and electoral regulations, political activities remain banned, stressing that its current priority is supporting President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima in delivering the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

According to the statement, the Tinubu-led administration remains focused on implementing bold reforms targeted at transforming the economy, building prosperity, and improving the living conditions of Nigerians.

The APC also cautioned ministers, senior government officials, and party leaders against actions or comments that could fuel unnecessary speculation, urging them instead to concentrate on effective service delivery and promoting the achievements of the administration.

The statement was signed by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, CON.
