The Abia State Police Command has announced that it will commence full enforcement of tinted glass permits on Thursday, October 2, 2025, in line with federal laws and directives.

In a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Maureen C. Chinaka, the Command noted that the decision follows months of public sensitization and extensions of the compliance deadline to allow residents obtain their permits.

The statement advised vehicle owners who are yet to register to visit the Nigeria Police Specialized Services Automation Project (POSSAP) via www.possap.gov.ng, and complete the capturing process at the State Intelligence Department (SID).

The Commissioner of Police, CP Danladi Isa, directed officers to carry out the exercise professionally, respect citizens’ rights, and avoid acts of extortion.
