Aba Power Limited has announced that it will temporarily rely on electricity supply from the National Grid between 21st and 28th August 2025 due to critical maintenance work affecting its primary power provider, Geometric Power Aba Limited (GPAL).

According to a statement signed by Aba Power Management on Tuesday, the company explained that GPAL’s gas supplier will be carrying out major infrastructure maintenance, which is expected to limit GPAL’s generation capacity during the period.“During this time we will rely mainly on power import from the National Grid to service our customers,” the statement read.
“While grid import may be limiting, we assure you that we will do our best to ensure that all stakeholders are duly serviced.”
The company expressed regret over any inconvenience the temporary arrangement may cause, but emphasized that the advance notice is to help customers plan adequately.“
We sincerely regret any inconvenience that may be caused by this outage, even as we hope that this timely message will allow customers to plan adequately,” Aba Power stated.
The management also thanked customers for their sustained understanding and support.
