The Senator representing Abia Central Senatorial District, Senator Austin Akobundu has urged Muslims and other Nigerians to be united and to imbibe the spirit of tolerance as virtues needed to build a more virile and prosperous nation.
Akobundu stated this in his congratulatory message to Muslims across his constituency and beyond on the holy festival of Eid-el-Fitri.
He remarked that Ramadan presents Nigerians with another golden opportunity to reflect on its lessons of compassion and love which are values that drive his own ongoing free medical outreach and other skills acquisition and empowerment programmes he has been carrying out for the wellbeing of the people.
Senator Akobundu concluded his message by urging the Muslim faithful to keep praying for the growth and development of Nigeria.
