The All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives candidate for Ikwuano/Umuahia North and South Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji, has pledged to ensure that every village, community and urban area in the constituency benefits from the dividends of democracy if elected in 2027.

Orji, a former Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, made the pledge in a statement issued on Friday, October 16, 2026, by his Media Director, Ikechukwu Kelvin Okorie.

He said his ambition is driven by a commitment to inclusive representation, equitable distribution of development projects and improved access to essential social amenities across the constituency.

According to him, no community should be denied the benefits of democratic governance because of its size, location or level of development.

The former Speaker maintained that effective representation goes beyond occupying a seat in the National Assembly, stressing that the true measure of leadership lies in the positive impact it makes on the lives of the people.

He assured constituents that his representation, if elected, would be guided by accountability, fairness, transparency and a determination to address the developmental needs of communities across Ikwuano, Umuahia North and Umuahia South.

Describing his campaign promises as a solemn obligation rather than mere political statements, Orji vowed to work diligently towards fulfilling every commitment made to the electorate.

“My commitment to the people is a vow, and I take it seriously. If elected as your next House of Representatives member, I must fulfil the promises I have made.

“Every village, every community, and every urban area in this constituency deserves to feel the impact of democracy. My mission is to ensure that development reaches the people, and that no part of our constituency is neglected,” he stated.

Orji further emphasised that ensuring grassroots development and giving every community a sense of belonging would remain central to his legislative agenda if entrusted with the mandate to represent the constituency at the National Assembly.

He reiterated his determination to pursue people-oriented representation that would ensure no village or community in Ikwuano/Umuahia North and South Federal Constituency is left behind.
