Abia South Senatorial aspirant, Dr. Kasarachi Michael Enyinnaya, has unveiled his legislative agenda ahead of the 2027 general elections, promising to prioritize a landmark reform on the high cost of parcel and logistics.
Enyinnaya, who hails from Ogwe in Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State, said the exorbitant cost of parcel delivery is crippling small businesses, particularly in Aba, the commercial nerve centre of the South-East.
Speaking in an interview video seen by OMPAN Blog, the senate hopeful said his first assignment at the Senate will be to collaborate with colleagues to bring down logistics costs.
“If I am elected, I will work with my colleagues to bring a landmark reform on parcel because the cost of parcel now is too high. That will be the first thing to work on,” he stated.
The aspirant, who is campaigning under the mantra “A Brighter Future for Abia South”, said his representation will be different because he will remain close to the people.
“What I will do differently is that I will have to be close to the people. I will constantly have engagement of town hall meetings with my people to know their needs and how I am able to support whatever they are doing,” he said.
Beyond the parcel reform, Dr. Enyinnaya pledged to pursue policies that will enhance businesses in Abia South, drive human capital development, and attract federal presence to the district.
He also promised to facilitate the employment of Abia South youths into various federal agencies and institute a scholarship scheme for students in the senatorial district.
“I will make sure our people are being carried along, employed in various agencies in the government and also going to work hard to ensure we have where we can be able to give our students scholarship,” he assured.
Dr. Kasarachi Michael Enyinnaya is one of the contenders for the Abia South Senatorial District seat in the 2027 elections.
