Governor Hope Uzodimma has reaffirmed his commitment to the Imo State Charter of Equity, stressing that the document was his initiative aimed at ensuring peace, fairness, and inclusive progress in the state.

The governor stated this today while addressing leaders and stakeholders of Owerri Zone at the Government House, Owerri.
According to him, the Charter of Equity remains the guiding framework to guarantee political stability and equitable power sharing among the different zones of the state.
Owerri Zone, which comprises Oru West, Owerri Municipal, Owerri North, and Owerri South local government areas, is already laying claim to the governorship seat ahead of the 2027 general election.
Governor Uzodimma urged the stakeholders not to be distracted but to embrace the spirit of equity for the collective interest of all Imolites.
