The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially confirmed Rt. Hon. Chinedum E. Orji, FNSE, FNICE, FNHITE, as the duly nominated candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Ikwuano/Umuahia North/Umuahia South Federal Constituency election.

Orji, while reacting to the confirmation, described the development as a significant milestone in his political journey and a validation of the mandate entrusted to him by the APC and its members.

He expressed appreciation to the leadership of the party, executives, delegates, supporters and stakeholders for their confidence and support, adding that his emergence was not merely a personal achievement but a commitment to the aspirations and interests of the people of the constituency.

The APC candidate called on party members, supporters and citizens to remain united, peaceful and focused ahead of the election.

According to him, his campaign will be anchored on integrity, accountability, inclusiveness, development and service to the people.

He pledged to continue engaging with residents of the constituency, listen to their concerns and promote practical solutions to the challenges confronting their communities.

Orji also appealed to other contestants and their supporters across political parties to conduct their campaigns peacefully and in accordance with the law.

He stressed that elections should be a celebration of democracy rather than a source of division or violence.

The former Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly further appealed for continued support, prayers and participation as the campaign progresses, expressing confidence that unity of purpose and commitment to service would lead to victory.
