If the first episode published yesterday, 1st September, 2026, was about solving today’s unemployment crisis, this second episode is about securing tomorrow’s global competitiveness.

Senator Austin Akobundu, who is the African Democratic Congress (ADC) flagbearer for Abia Central in the 2027 general elections, is not just training youths for jobs, he is preparing Abia Central children to lead in the industries that will define the next century.

He also catches them young.

In a landmark intervention, Senator Akobundu sponsored 400 secondary school students across Abia Central for specialized training in frontier technologies:

• Embedded Systems Engineering
• Robotics
• Artificial Intelligence (AI)

These are not buzzwords. They are the building blocks of modern economies: from smart agriculture and manufacturing to healthcare, defense, and fintech.

The training took place in August 2024.

By exposing our students early, Senator Akobundu is planting Abia Central firmly in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

This is akin to planting a mustard seed. It is silent today but benefits the people immensely tomorrow. This is because the global economy is shifting. The nations and states that will thrive are those investing in STEM talent pipelines from secondary school level. While others debate policy papers, Senator Akobundu is funding labs, kits, and instructors.

He understands a simple truth: You cannot compete in 2040 with a 1990 curriculum.

This is why his initiative to start early in the transformation of Abia Central children from today’s learners to tomorrow’s creators is key to their development.

By the end of the programme, students were already building functional prototypes: line-following robots, game apps, cartoon characters, smart housing and estate prototypes, exotic and heavy duty vehicle prototypes, and basic AI models. We are witnessing the birth of a generation that won’t just consume technology, but create it.

That is representation thinking 10, 20 years ahead. That is leadership that invests in people before they can vote.

The Akobundu Doctrine is all about evidence and not excuses.

Earlier reported was 320 youths trained in high-income digital skills. Today, it is 400 students equipped for the AI age. These are not manifesto points. They are completed projects with verifiable names and results.

This is why 2027 cannot be about experiments. Abia Central has a Senator who is already delivering the future. It is one training after another, back to back. Indeed, statesmen think about the next generation.
