The Honourable Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa, will join the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, for the commissioning of the Ogbo Smart School in Ubakala, Umuahia South Local Government Area.

According to a statement issued by the Abia State Commissioner for Information, Prince Okey Kanu, the commissioning ceremony is scheduled to hold on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at 8:00 a.m.
The state government said the event reflects its commitment to providing world-class educational infrastructure and promoting quality education through innovation and technology.
The Ogbo Smart School is expected to serve as a model institution equipped with modern learning facilities designed to prepare students for the demands of the 21st century.
The government noted that the project represents another major milestone in the ongoing transformation of the education sector in Abia State under the administration of Governor Otti.
Stakeholders in the education sector, community leaders, members of the public, and the media have been invited to witness the commissioning ceremony.
