The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has updated its official portal by removing the names of Ahmed Yayari and Daniel Woyengikuro as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Treasurer and National Financial Secretary, respectively.
The electoral body replaced the duo with Odeyemi Mackson Oladiran and Eyim Donatus Henry as the new party executives.

Ahmed Yayari and Daniel Woyengikuro are known members of the Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde-backed Turaki faction within the PDP, while Odeyemi and Eyim are aligned with the faction loyal to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike.
The latest development is seen as a further consolidation of the Wike-backed leadership within the opposition party.
INEC had earlier recognised the Wike-aligned faction by listing Abdulrahman Mohammed as the PDP National Chairman and Samuel Anyanwu as the National Secretary on its portal. However, the retention of Ahmed Yayari and Daniel Woyengikuro among the party executives had created uncertainty over the party’s internal structure.
With the recent update, all officials currently listed as PDP national executives on INEC’s portal are now members of the faction loyal to the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.
