The Abia State Government has announced the cancellation of the Monthly Environmental Sanitation Exercise earlier scheduled to hold on Saturday, May 30, 2026.

In a statement issued by the Ministry of Environment, residents and members of the public were informed that there will be no restriction of movement across the state on the scheduled date.
The Ministry therefore advised citizens to go about their normal lawful and economic activities without interruption.
Despite the cancellation, the government emphasized the continued importance of maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment across Abia State.
Residents were urged to sustain proper sanitation practices in their homes, markets, offices, and business premises to support environmental cleanliness and public health.
