Senator Akobundu Sends Heart-Felt Message to former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, on His Birthda
As former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu marks his birthday today, Senator Austin Akobundu (Abia Central) has described him as a friend and very close brother whose virtue of humility stands him out as a man of peace and goodwill.
Senator Akobundu stated this today in his birthday message to Senator Ekweremadu.
While describing Ekweremadu as a highly cerebral, ebullient, and accomplished Nigerian, Akobundu recalled that his supreme love for his family is akin to that which any good father would have for their household. Such fierce love is the type that defines the former Deputy Senate President’s “time-tested values and virtues of kindness, brotherliness, generousity, courtesy and compassion to all and sundry, irrespective of class or status.”
Akobundu added that such values have not diminished in the family of the former Deputy Senate President despite the challenging situation as his wife, Mrs Beatrice Ekweremadu, has continued to represent these virtues by maintaining the bond which her husband shares with the people. He commended her for being strong and for standing firmly by her husband in such a difficult time.
Akobundu concluded his message by insisting that the current challenging situation will not make him shy away from celebrating a man whom he described as “a compassionate brother, friend, and passionate family man with whom I share a cordial bond.”
While wishing Senator Ekweremadu a happy birthday, Senator Akobundu prayed God to grant him long life in good health and happiness and bring peace and strength to his family.
