The screening, which took place at the party secretariat in Umuahia, formed part of the APC’s internal process aimed at verifying the qualifications and eligibility of aspirants seeking elective positions on the party’s platform.

Speaking shortly after the exercise, Anyanwu commended the screening committee for what he described as a transparent and well-organized process. He noted that his successful clearance marked an important milestone in his quest to represent the people of Isiala Ngwa North in the Abia State House of Assembly.

“I appreciate the leadership of the party and the screening committee for ensuring due process. This further strengthens my confidence in the party’s commitment to internal democracy,” he stated.

Anyanwu reaffirmed that his campaign would focus on youth inclusion, economic empowerment, and quality legislative representation. He added that consultations with party stakeholders and grassroots supporters would continue ahead of the primaries.

The chairman of the House of Assembly screening committee stated that the exercise was conducted in accordance with the guidelines of the APC and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Successful aspirants are expected to move on to the next phase of the party’s primary election schedule.
