Ahead of the forthcoming All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries, Uba Chiemezuo Anyanwu on Thursday met with women and youth leaders of the party to formally declare his ambition and seek their support.

The meeting, held at the country home of Ward 9 APC Chairman, Pastor Gilbert Iheanyichukwu, focused on strengthening party unity, grassroots mobilization, and enhancing the participation of women and youths in the electoral process.

Addressing the gathering, Hon. Anyanwu emphasized the critical role women and youths play within the family, society, and the political structure, describing them as the backbone of grassroots mobilization and the voting population. He outlined his vision for the party and the constituency, stressing inclusion, youth empowerment, and greater involvement of women in decision-making processes.

He appealed to the leaders to mobilize supporters across their respective wards in support of his aspiration, noting that their contributions would be vital to securing victory during the party primaries.

Speaking during the engagement, the Campaign Director-General, Uche Ikenyi, alongside the Ward 9 APC Chairman, commended the initiative, describing the interaction with women and youth leaders as a strategic move capable of strengthening internal party support and consolidating grassroots voter mobilization.

In separate remarks, the Local Government Youth Leader, Ikpeama Chibuike, LG Woman Leader, Ngozi Egege, Ward 5 Youth Leader, Onyeizu Vision, and Ward 10 Woman Leader, Grace Emmanuel, applauded Hon. Anyanwu for recognizing the importance of women and youths in the party.

They also expressed confidence that the APC would conduct a free and fair primary election for all aspirants.

The meeting concluded with a special prayer session for Hon. Anyanwu, led by Mrs. Grace Emmanuel.
