Residents of Bende Local Government Area in Abia State are set to benefit from a five-day free eye care outreach organized by the Chima Anyaso Foundation in partnership with Rebirth Ministries and Precious Sight Foundation.

The programme, tagged “5-Day Free Rebirth Ministries Sight Outreach,” is aimed at improving access to quality eye care services across the constituency. It will be held at the Ofuji Resource Centre, opposite Mark Onyeka Fuel Station by Igbere Junction, Igbere, Bende LGA.

According to the organisers, participants will receive a range of free services, including eye screening, reading glasses, and prescription glasses.

The outreach is scheduled to run from Monday, May 4 to Friday, May 8, 2026, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. daily.

To enhance participation, free transportation will be provided for residents across the 13 wards in Bende Federal Constituency. The transportation schedule includes Igbere Wards A and B on Monday; Item Wards A, B, and C on Tuesday; Alayi and Ugwueke/Ezeukwu on Wednesday; Umuhu, Ozuitem, Uzuakoli, and Umuimenyi/Nkpa on Thursday; and Bende and Itumbuzor on Friday.

Designated coordinators have also been assigned to each ward to assist participants with logistics and inquiries.

The initiative has received approval from the Abia State Government and is powered by the Fuji Movement.

Organisers have urged residents to take advantage of the opportunity by attending on their scheduled dates, noting that early arrival will ensure smooth registration and service delivery.
