The Governor of Anambra State, Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has approved the appointment of Mrs. Chiamaka Nnake as the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG).

Nnake, an accomplished finance and public sector professional, hails from Nawfia in Njikoka Local Government Area. She brings over 13 years of experience in finance, strategy development, and economic planning.
Prior to her appointment, she served as Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning in Anambra State, where she played a key role in mobilizing and allocating resources to drive socio-economic development. She also chaired Solution Fun City Limited and held leadership positions in several state agencies, including the Anambra State Investment Promotion and Protection Agency, the Internal Revenue Service Board, and the Small Business Agency.
She has also been instrumental in advancing reforms as the state’s Reform Champion for Ease of Doing Business and focal point for Social Investment Programmes. In addition, she serves as Nigeria Chairperson for the Human Capital Opportunities for Prosperity and Equity (HOPE) Programme.
Before joining public service, Nnake worked as a Senior Strategy Consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where she led over 30 client engagements across multiple sectors. She was recognized with the CEO Award in 2021 for her outstanding performance. During her time there, she contributed significantly to the development of the Anambra Vision 2070 blueprint and the state’s Combined Transition Plan.
Earlier in her career, she worked with IHS Towers as a Business Analyst and at Meristem Securities Limited as an Equity Research Analyst.
Nnake holds a Master of Business Administration from Lagos Business School, where she earned the Beta Gamma Sigma lifetime recognition for academic excellence. She also graduated with First-Class Honours in Accounting from Benson Idahosa University. She is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), a member of its National Advisory Committee, and has completed executive training at Harvard Kennedy School. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Public Policy.
At 39, Nnake is married with three children.
