In its judgment, the appellate court dismissed the appeal filed by a faction of the party led by Taminu Turaki, challenging the decision of the lower court.

The court also awarded a cost of N2 million against Turaki and other appellants for bringing the appeal.

The ruling effectively sustains the earlier order restraining the party from proceeding with the national convention pending the resolution of the internal dispute.
