Governor Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has officially defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC.

The governor completed his online registration on Wednesday morning at the Government House in Yola, in the presence of APC stakeholders and members of the Adamawa State Executive Council.
Fintiri was previously a key figure in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and chaired the Makinde-led PDP faction’s National Congress held in Ibadan, Oyo State. He reportedly walked out of the congress following the announcement related to dismissal of Nyesom Wike from the PdP.
Last week, the APC suspended its ward, local government, and state congresses in Adamawa to accommodate Fintiri’s defection process.
