Akobundu Salutes Christians at Christmas, Preaches Thanksgiving, Love and Hope…Says 2026 Promises Better Tidings
Senator Austin Akobundu has urged Christians to use the opportunity of the Christmas srason to thank God for the gift of our Lord Jesus Christ whose birth ushered in joy to the world and brought hope to mankind.

Akobundu stated this in his Christmas message earlier today.
He admonished Christians to celebrate without forgetting the lessons of the season which is that God gave His only begotten Son to redeem humanity from damnation. This, he said, is the reason why Christmas is a season of joy and Thanksgiving to God for His endless love for mankind. While urging all to remain joyful and hopeful of a better tomorrow, he enjoined Christians to show love to everyone as the birth of Christ signals the restoration of man to his creator.
Senator Akobundu who also prayed that the season ushers all into a prosperous New Year concluded his message by echoing the words of St Paul in his letter to the Philippians wherein he exhorted them to “Rejoice in the Lord always.”
He concluded by wishing all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
