Stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bende South State Constituency, Bende Local Government Area of Abia State have reaffirmed their commitment to unity and party cohesion, describing it as the foundation of the party’s electoral dominance in the area since 1999.

The stakeholders made this known during a well-attended meeting held in Umuahia, convened at the instance of party Hon. Chidi Mezieobi Ezeogu popularly known as Indo.
Speaking at the meeting, Hon. Chidi Mezieobi emphasized the importance of sustaining the long-standing unity within the PDP in Bende South, noting that the harmony among party leaders and members has consistently delivered electoral victories over the years.
“The strength of the PDP in Bende South has always been our unity. Since 1999, we have remained a PDP stronghold because we understand the power of togetherness,” he said.
In his remarks, Hon Nduaka Nworisara commended the initiative behind the meeting and praised the collective resolve of party leaders to strengthen internal cohesion.
“This coming together of leaders is the PDP tradition. Whenever we unite like this, success naturally follows. This is how we have continued to win elections year after year,” Nworisara stated.
Several leaders at the meeting also applauded Hon. Chidi Mezieobi for his continuous efforts in fostering peace and unity within the party. They urged him not only to sustain the momentum but to take a bold step forward politically by contesting to represent the people at the state House of Assembly.
“You have shown leadership by bringing everyone together. We encourage you to continue this good work and to answer the call to contest for the Bende South State House of Assembly seat,” the stakeholders echoed in unison.
The meeting ended on a note of renewed solidarity, with stakeholders pledging to work collectively to ensure the continued dominance of the PDP in Bende South and across Abia State.
The meeting drew prominent PDP leaders and stakeholders in the constiituency, including Chief Nduaka Nworisara, Chief Godwin Obulandeife, Chief Ihiechi Philips, Chief Dr. Ndu Ukagha, Hon. Nkem Okoro, Comrade Jasper Anyalewechi, and several others.
