In a last-minute effort to calm rising tensions within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde on Thursday paid a visit to former Jigawa State Governor Sule Lamido at his Abuja residence.

Makinde, who was accompanied by Senator Abdul Ningi and other key PDP stakeholders, is reportedly pushing for reconciliation among warring factions as disagreements over the party’s national chairmanship position continue to deepen.
The meeting is part of ongoing behind-the-scenes engagements aimed at preventing further division ahead of critical party activities.
