President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will address the nation on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, as part of activities marking Nigeria’s 65th Independence anniversary.

According to a statement issued by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, the broadcast is scheduled for 7:00 a.m.
All television and radio stations, as well as other electronic media platforms, have been directed to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) for the live broadcast.
The national address is expected to highlight key government policies, reflect on Nigeria’s journey since independence, and outline the administration’s plans for the future.
