Former lawmaker, Senator Dino Melaye, has criticized President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over what he described as reckless borrowing and wasteful spending.

Melaye said the president has borrowed so much that Nigerians would not be shocked if he resorted to seeking loans from fintech platforms like Opay and Moniepoint.
He added that despite Tinubu’s campaign promises to curb waste, his administration has bought a Cadillac and an aircraft, raised the National Assembly’s budget, and engaged in borrowing “like no other president in history.”
